No. 39 is part of a 100 day project where I'm working to complete 100 mini pastel paintings. I love working small to try to capture the vastness of the landscape on such a small scale - this is one of my tiniest I've ever done. I was inspired by the way the sunlight was catching parts of the distant row of trees on an otherwise moody fall afternoon.
