Renewal
I titled this, "Renewal", because it was a painting headed for the trash that I breathed new life into. I had set the original finished painting aside for months, not really liking it. It was lackluster and unexciting. I was ready to toss it out, but decided to throw caution to the wind and rework it to see if I could infuse more life into it. I scrubbed out, and added marks back in. I softened and sharpened edges. I reached for bright brights and dark darks to wake it up and add drama. And finally, I got out my three precious metallic Henri Roches I had been waiting for a few years to use on something special, (!) and this was the result.
