This painting was created from a series of reference photos a client provided me from her family trip to Provence. I love the combination of the movement in the little girl's hair and the lavender fields. I also like the more abstract mountain shapes in the distance in combination with the cultivated fields. Nupastel underpainting followed by Sennelier and Terry Ludwig soft pastels.
