Sheep Shearing
I took this photograph on a farm outside Wakkerstroom South Africa where I have a vacation home. It was sheep shearing day and I was captivated by the juxtaposition of the experienced, calm, professionalism of the shearers and the distress and anxiety of the sheep. The sheep's faces were so expressive. I worked from my photograph using Rembrandt pastels on Canson Touch paper - all bought from Dakota Pastels.
