Countryside toddler

I photographed this adorable toddler a few blocks from my vacation home when out on an evening stroll in Wakkerstroom South Africa. She was so lovely and so sweet and so I asked her mother for permission to photograph her. Though I live in Brooklyn, New York, I return to my birthplace of South Africa at least once a year. I worked from my photograph using Rembrandt pastels on sanded Canson Touch paper.
