I wanted to get the feeling of total immersion in the golden light of an autumn day in the woods. There is no sky, just the brilliant autumn foliage and the bright green of the moss on the logs. I painted this on 300 lb. watercolor paper with a thin acrylic underpainting that I worked over in pastel.
