The portrait of Ellis was done in pastel, using Prismacolor hard pastels as an underpainting, finished with soft Sennelier pastels on Canson Mi Teintes Touch paper. I enjoyed trying to capture the complete innocence of a young boy and the color and light that plays off his soft skin, the coloration in his hair, and the expression of his eyes.
