Chilly cactus
Snow rarely reaches the desert floor here in Green Valley, AZ, but when it does my camera and I are out early--the snow is gone by 9am. The Santa Rita variety of prickly pear cactus are found almost exclusively in Arizona and turn all sorts of wonderful purples and pinks when the weather gets cold. I wanted to play with the lovely colors and droplets with my soft pastels and this was the result.
