This pastel is entirely composed of soft pastel on a large Ampersand board. The inspiration was to create a beautiful new beginning for a friend and at the same time recognize the passing of her beloved spouse. This almost surreal sunset over Ashamed Pond (MA) seemed to speak the words I did not have.
