Coastal Flight
While walking a trail from Highway 1 to the coast on a stormy day came upon a place where the clouds were incredible. I want to try and paint a seascape and got just above a beach. At the moment I took a photo the Pelicans in formation following the coast flew in front of me and I caught the moment but stayed a long time just to get a feel of the shy and the colors. I did a quick sketch. I was just starting to use pastels. It was amazing to finally get the feel of clouds with the pastels.
