This is a painting of my daughter in a fur coat and hat she purchased to surprise me with a modeling session and I have used it in several paintings. For this one I was experimenting with texture by using an old piece of Wallis paper seconds and washes with water to let the paper show through. The background and collar have several washes and the coat has a very thin wash where the pastel just tints the paper.
