Corner Shadows
My neighbors little corner patch of flowers is such a cheery sight for all to enjoy. I loved seeing them in the dappled shade from the nearby oak in my late afternoon walk. I used watercolor for my underpainting on Canson cold press watercolor paper. I covered the underpainting with two coats of pastel ground using a foam roller for even coverage. I really enjoy the rough texture of working on this sort of surface and the process which gives me time to consider how best to approach my painting.
