Old Stories
My painting titled "Old Stories" comes from a childhood fascination with the natural world. Growing up in a rural area and spending a great deal of time on my own left a lot to be imagined. The feeling of the stories and characters I created are still part of my experience now. I often work from existing images which have been broken down and reconstructed to express a visual story. This piece is done on velour paper to give it a very old and rich surface.
