Reflections of Time

There are many hidden waters near where I live. This isolated cover is one of them. I loved the story that the scene told of then and now with the ruined partially submerged work boat and the proud, intact work boat ready to go out as soon as the watermen arrived. This is the story of the watermen and work boat heritage of where I live. I began with an indigo blue, blue violet, burnt sienna hard pastel/alcohol wash underpainting and finished with a variety of soft pastels.
